The Indianola Academy Lady Colonels will be taking a 10-day break from live basketball action after tonight’s game against Canton Academy was called off.
Owning a 3-3 record after splitting their games played this past week, the Lady Colonels closed out their pre-Thanksgiving schedule against Washington School Tuesday night.
On the road in Greenville, The Lady Colonels recorded a 40-25 victory over the Lady Generals.
Inflating an 18-15 halftime lead by outscoring the Lady Generals 22-10 in the second half of the contest the IA girls earned this non-district victory.
Leading the scoring for IA in this game were Lydia Williamson and Jill Roberts with eight points apiece.
Meanwhile, Monday night in Batesville, the Lady Colonels dropped a 72-32 decision to a strong North Delta School squad.
Lizzy Smith paced the Lady Colonels scoring with her nine point game while Mattie Beth Williamson followed with seven points.
