Looking to get back into the win column, the Indianola Academy Lady Colonels basketball team begins an active week when it travels tonight to Lee Academy in Clarksdale.
Owning a 7-11, 1-4 record going into tonight’s District 1AAA contest, the Lady Colonels’ next action will occur Friday at Pillow Academy in Greenwood.
This week’s play will then be completed next Tuesday when Bayou Academy of Cleveland visits the IA gym for another district match-up.
All three games this week will tip-off at 6 p.m.
In the IA squad’s latest action played Tuesday night at North Delta School in Batesville, the Lady Colonels fell 60-31 to a strong Green Wave squad.
Meanwhile, last Thursday the Lady Colonels dropped a 41-37 district decision to Kirk Academy.
Leading the scoring in this contest was Lizzy Smith with a dozen points while Anna Berry Stevens matched her nine points scored with nine rebounds.
