After splitting their pair of games this past week, the Indianola Academy Lady Colonels softball team was scheduled to play at Lee Academy in Clarksdale Wednesday night with hopes of picking up another District 1AAA victory.
Owning a 13-4, 3-1 record going into Wednesday’s contest, the IA squad’s next action occurs next Tuesday at 6: 30 p.m. with a district road trip to Kirk Academy in Grenada.
When they entered their recent game with Lee Academy, there were hopes of returning to the win column following Tuesday evening’s 12-1 loss to visiting Bayou Academy of Cleveland.
This recent loss came on the heels of this past Monday’s 7-1 home-field non-district victory over Washington School of Greenville.
