Remaining unbeaten in Region 3-4A competition, the Gentry High Lady Rams basketball team will travel to Shaw High School this Saturday.
The Lady Rams, owning a 17-5, 7-0 record, will tip off at 6 p.m. against the Eagles in this weekend’s non-regional action.
It has been a successful week for the Lady Rams as their most recent action Tuesday night earned the 60-53 road victory over Clarksdale High School.
Other play last Saturday saw the Lady Rams hammer Grenada High School by a 47-21 score while last Friday’s regional match-up with Tunica Rosa Fort High sent a 52-26 victory into the record books.
Meanwhile, against Tunica Rosa Fort, the Lady Rams limited the Lions to single digit scoring in every quarter to help fuel the 26 point victory.
While Mercedes Hayes turned in a 12 point, 15 point rebound night of play, Nyah Davis led the scoring with 16 points.
Rounding out the scoring leaders for Gentry High was Shacori Dawson with a dozen points posted on the scoreboard.
