Another all-important Region 3-4A portion of their schedule is up next for the 9-7, 2-0 Gentry High Lady Rams basketball team.
After closing out the 2017 calendar year by picking up one win in three games played during the Hattiesburg Coca-Cola Tournament played last week, the Lady Rams will begin the New Year by putting their unblemished regional record on the line when they travel to Greenwood High this Friday.
Another 6 p.m. regional game will then occur for the Lady Rams next Tuesday when they visit Clarksdale High School.
In their action last week in Hattiesburg, the Lady Rams opened their tournament play on Thursday with a 51-34 loss to Brandon High School.
However, the Gentry girls gamely rebounded the next day with a 44-34 victory over Jefferson Davis Central High School of Bassfield.
The Lady Rams closed out their tournament play last Saturday and for the fourth time this season suffered a one point loss. On this occasion the Gentry High squad dropped a hard-fought 31-30 decision to Greenville High School.
