Taking their 18-5, 7-0 record into this Saturday’s home-court battle against Leflore County High School, the Gentry High Lady Rams are methodically marching toward the February 11 opening of post season play.
However, additional important business remains to be taken care of as the Lady Rams’ final Region 4-3A match-up will occur next Tuesday night.
It will be Greenwood High School who visits the Gentry High gym for this important battle. Both of this week’s games are set to tip-off at 6 p.m.
A successful week of play was had by the Lady Rams as last Saturday’s outing earned a 62-42 decision over visiting Shaw High School.
In their 20 point victory over Shaw High, the Lady Rams used a 19-9 third period to build upon their 29-23 halftime lead.
Mercedes Hayes led the Gentry High scoring as her double double included 18 points and 20 rebounds.
Also reaching double figure scoring against the Hawks were Belize Reed and Shacori Dawson as the pair posted 13 and 12 points respectively on the scoreboard.
