A fresh start is hopefully just what the North Sunflower Academy Rebels need for a successful eight-man football season.
This optimism will begin to play out Friday at 7 p.m. when new Head Coach Jimmy McGregor’s squad takes on visiting Delta Streets Academy of Greenwood.
After suffering through an 0-10 record last season, as well as their second consecutive losing campaign, the Rebels are bent on beginning the reversal of this misfortune with a season-opening victory over the Lions.
Last season, the now District 2A3 Lions recorded a 5-5 overall record with one of those victories being a 48-0 decision over the now District 1A1 Rebels.
However, NSA does own a 2-1 series advantage in this short series which began in the 2015 season.
