The postseason accolades continue to come to members and the coach of the AAA State Champion Indianola Academy baseball team.
In addition to the five players named to the All-District 1-AAA team per last week’s edition of The Enterprise-Tocsin, three of those selections have also recently been named as MAIS AAA All-State selections.
With all three hailing from the junior class, pitcher Josh Hill was also named the AAA Most Valuable Player of the Year.
Joining the right-hander on the AAA All-State team were infielders Will Davis and Wesley Lester.
“These guys are very deserving of this honor due to not only their performance but for their leadership”, said IA Head Coach Clete Putnam, who was also named the AAA Coach of the Year.
While claiming the AAA crown this spring, the Colonels successful 26-8 campaign also included bringing the District 1AAA and North State AAA titles to Indianola Academy.
