Sunflower County emergency services from Nov. 3-9:
On Monday, Nov 3 at 9:39 a.m., the Linn-Steiner-Roundaway Volunteer Fire Department responded to a tractor fire on Interstate Road near Jones Bayou Road in Bolivar County. The Bolivar County Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the alarm.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 6:52 a.m., the Moorhead Volunteer Fire Department and the South Fire Task Force responded to a residential structure fire in the 400 block of Jefferson Street. One firefighter received a burn injury that was treated on scene by county Emergency Medical Responders and released for follow-up care, and a second firefighter sustained a small laceration to a finger.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 5:03 p.m., Rescue 1 responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 1100 block of U.S. Highway 82 East in Indianola. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 6:29 p.m., the Drew Volunteer Fire Department and the North Fire Task Force responded to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of South 1st Street in Drew.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 10:06 p.m., the Indianola Fire Department responded to a dryer fire in the 30 block of Spoonbill Court.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 9:21 a.m., the Ruleville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Mississippi Highway 8, approximately four miles east of Ruleville.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 1:42 p.m., the Sunflower and Moorhead volunteer fire departments responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 49 and Mississippi Highway 3 in Sunflower involving a diesel spill.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 2:18 p.m., the Inverness Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire at the intersection of Four Mile Road and Milk Road.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 6:14pm, Rescue 1, Rescue 3 and the Moorhead Volunteer Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 1700 range of U.S. Highway 82 East.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7:55 p.m., the Sunflower and Moorhead volunteer fire departments responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 100 block of Stockyard Extended in Sunflower.
