Indianola Lions welcomed Rev. Jennifer Deaton Wednesday as she shared details of her pilgrimage ministry, Little Coracles. Little Coracles takes groups to Iona, Scotland, the cradle of Christianity in Scotland, Northern England, and Scandinavia. In the Celtic tradition it is known as a "thin place," where the veil between heaven and earth is lifted and holiness is all around. Iona is a tiny island three miles long, one-mile wide located on the wild edge of the Atlantic. At the heart of Iona, the ancient Abbey established in 563 AD by Saint Columba continues to welcome pilgrims and visitors to deepen their faith, widen their hearts, and walk in wonder in this world God has made. The Lions were blessed to catch a “glimpse of the under-glimmer” of the presence of God through the inspirational Rev. Deaton. Pictured are Deaton and Lion Jackie Winter.
