IPD chief Hall chosen to fill position in Columbus

Indianola Police Chief Edrick Hall could be leaving the department this summer.

Hall and Indianola Mayor Steve Rosenthal confirmed an earlier media report that Hall has been chosen to fill the assistant chief position in Columbus.

The hire in Columbus is conditional on a background check, which is routine.

UPDATE: According to multiple reports, Jordan Nicole Thompson, the 15-year-old who was declared an Endangered/Missing Child by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation this morning has been found safe. WTVA said Bolivar County Sheriff Kelvin Williams confirmed the report.
