Supervisors cite their own behavior as they consider discontinuing Facebook streaming of meetings

The Sunflower County Board of Supervisors will continue livestreaming open meetings, at least for now.
Toward the end of Monday’s regular meeting, District 1 Supervisor Riley Rice proposed the idea of ending the Facebook stream that began during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Parts and labor: Road, trash departments combatting issues on two fronts

Several stalled pieces of county equipment have stalled road and solid waste crews recently.
T.J. Fairley, road manager and solid waste manager, appeared before the Board of Supervisors Monday morning and informed the county leaders that several vehicles are currently down, including garbage trucks.
