When I think about farmers, I think about roots. I think about the people who plant seed, who battle weather, who rear animals and tend land through seasons. In Mississippi — especially in the Delta and other rural counties — farmers are the backbone of a community, tradition, and economy. Supporting them isn’t a political talking-point for me.
