Disagreement over the mayor’s authority to hire city workers resurfaced Monday night during the Indianola Board of Aldermen’s regular meeting at the City Hall Annex.
The discussion centered on whether Mayor Ken Featherstone had exceeded his authority by directing a contractor, who is also a city employee, to cut grass along the highway.
