A Wednesday morning gunfight outside a Moorhead discount market left four people wounded, with authorities revealing that two of the victims were involved in the shooting, while two others were innocent bystanders.

Mayor breaks 2-2 tie to fire city attorney

The Indianola mayor and board of aldermen terminated City Attorney Derek Hopson in a divided vote on Tuesday, with Mayor Ken Featherstone breaking a 2-2 tie in favor of the motion to fire.

Board expands Brown’s scope of work, doubles pay

The Indianola Board of Aldermen voted Monday to approve an expanded contract with Brown & Associates Inc. for professional municipal management and administration technical assistance services, increasing the firm’s monthly compensation from $3,000 to $6,000.
The motion passed 4-1.
