Down here in the South, when we see folks at the store or on the street, we say, “Hey y’all, how you doing?”
That’s just how we talk down here. Most of the time, folks will say, “I’m doing okay, how about you?” And you’ll say you’re doing fine, too. But the truth? A lot of us really aren’t doing okay.
