Court courting new software

The city of Indianola is having software update conversations again.
During Monday’s board meeting, Municipal Court Clerk Teresa Nolden and Judge Vallrie Dorsey requested new software for the municipal court. The current software being used is owned by a company named Kalysis.

Indianola will request renewal of tourism tax, without sunset clause

The City of Indianola will request that its tourism tax be renewed without a sunset clause.
B.B King Museum Executive Director Malika Polk-Lee went before the board of aldermen this week to request that the city ask the Legislature to renew the tax.

Board puts brakes on transit van purchase

The Indianola Police Department will have to wait a bit longer for the purchase of a transport van the department requested over a month ago.
During Monday’s board meeting, Ward 4 Alderman Marvin Elder brought up a concern about the claims docket involving the purchase of the 2024 16-passenger van.
