Drew victims remembered: One suspect dead, another in custody, community mourns after triple homicide

Authorities are investigating a Drew triple homicide that led to a fourth death last Thursday.
The initial victims have been identified as Aquilla Wallace, 40, and her two teenage daughters, Bromeisha Sims and Kamaya Sims. The three bodies were discovered that morning at their Joseph Street residence.

Without board approval, City Attorney Hopson sent school district notice of intent to sue

Indianola City Attorney Returns $4K

Indianola City Attorney Derek Hopson returned $4,119 to the city’s coffers late last week.

This came after The Enterprise-Tocsin’s questions regarding a portion of Hopson’s overall $38,887 bill to the city, which seemed to include work that predated his November 18, 2024 employment.
