Livestock show set for Jan. 20

The 81st Annual Livestock Show is set for Saturday, January 20 at 10 a.m. in Sunflower. The show will be judged by Tori Copeland, Greenville, Texas. Concessions will be provided by Sunflower First Baptist Church. The show is set to feature 30 4-Hers showing 36 head of beef, 17 goats, 12 lambs and 37 hogs.

City nearing long-awaited forensic audit

After months of discussion, it appears the City of Indianola is poised to finally have a forensic audit conducted on its banking transactions.
This was something that apparently was tentatively agreed to about a year ago, but the Board of Aldermen had yet to hire a firm until the city’s Jan. 4 meeting.

Request for airport oversight leads to tense exchanges, little action
