Indianola raises pay for police officers

A divided Indianola city board voted on Wednesday night in favor of a $3 across the board raise for police officers.
IPD Chief Ronald Sampson provided the mayor and aldermen with a pay comparison between Indianola and neighboring cities, including some within the county, and he said that Indianola was lagging behind all of them.

Mayor breaks tie vote to not pay SDPDD membership

SCCSD’s Davis leaving in June

Dr. Miskia Davis will be stepping down as superintendent of the Sunflower County Consolidated School District at the end of this school year.
Davis told The Enterprise-Tocsin this week that her final day will be June 30, 2025.

Board will allow grant app to move forward
