Congressman Bennie Thompson will be in Indianola at 3 p.m. on Feb. 14 at the Gentry High School gymnasium. Thompson will share a message centered around the theme “The Fierce Urgency of Now” for the Sunflower County NAACP Branch No. 5333’s Annual Black History Program.
This is a clarion call for all elected officials, fraternities, sororities, civic organizations, churches, and residents of surrounding communities to show their support by attending this special event.
The mid-term elections are rapidly approaching, and the NAACP Branch encourages residents to be informed and engaged in the voting process.
