Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the United States Marshals, aided in the arrest of a male suspect at an Indianola motel on Thursday morning.
According to a spokesperson with the U.S. Marshals Service, William Conrod, 35, surrendered to Marshals at around 10 a.m. on Thursday morning at the America’s Best Value Inn on U.S. 82 West.
He was arrested apparently without incident.
He was wanted for possession of a stolen firearm in Sunflower County. A warrant was sworn out for his arrest in Sunflower County Justice Court, the Marshals spokesperson told The Enterprise-Tocsin.
He was booked into the Sunflower County Jail shortly after his arrest.
Sunflower County Sheriff James Haywood said that Conrod currently does not have a bond set and that he had been wanted by authorities for some time.
