Services for Vernell Watson Sr. of Inverness were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Hayes Chapel of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola. Burial followed at Riverside Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Watson, 45, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola, which is in charge of arrangements.
Evangelist Earlean Anderson will officiate at the services.
Mr. Watson is survived by: his parents, Tommie and Mary Ann Williams Watson; two sons, Vernell Watson Jr. and Jakylen Goston; two daughters, Kristeena Brown and Khyrah Rodgers; four brothers, Anthony Watson, Reginald Watson, D.J. Denton and Frederick Degraffenreid; two sisters, Carolyn Ashford and Daisy Denton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
