Mr. and Mrs. Douglas L. Adams of Indianola announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Payne Adams of Gulfport, to Kenneth John Schoen, also of Gulfport. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. Patrick Schoen of Chauvin, Louisiana and Mrs. Anne Schoen of Farmington, New Mexico.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Richard Adams of Greenville and the late Irene Grant of Memphis. Grandparents of the prospective bridegroom are the late Mildred Hebert of Houma, Louisiana and the late Pauline Laverne Muller of Covington, Louisiana.
Miss Adams is a graduate of Indianola Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Mississippi University for Women. She currently works as a senior account executive for The Focus Group Advertising Agency in Gulfport.
Mr. Schoen is a graduate of Terrebonne High School in Houma, Louisiana and is currently a Merchant Mariner and Engineering Officer with Edison Chouest Offshore.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church of Ocean Springs Historic Chapel in Ocean Springs.
