Buck and Margaret Nichols of Mantee announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth Nichols, to Thomas Walter Grant, son of Will and Cheryl Nichols of Indianola and Tommy Grant and Bobbi Hershey of Brighton, Tenn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Zearl Millsaps and Ann Millsaps of Mantee and Robert and Betty Nichols of Whidbey Island, Wash.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Randy and Sarah Nichols of Isola, the late Tommy and Jessie Homod of Belzoni and the late Eugene and Maggie Jean Grant of Isola.
Laura is 2008 graduate of Irmo High School in Irmo, South Carolina. She graduated in 2014 from Delta State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management. She is currently Personal Trainer and Manager at Unrated Fitness in Cleveland.
Walt is a 2011 honor graduate of Indianola Academy. He attended Mississippi State University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He graduated from Delta State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
He is currently a Registered Travel Nurse with Fusion Medical Staffing.
The couple will exchange vows June 23 at Wister Gardens in Belzoni.
