IA captures district title in win over Colts

The Indianola Academy Colonels are district champions again.

The 2018 division title win came against the Colts of Bayou Academy on Friday night.

IA won the game 42-24.

The Colts came to Legion Field to play, hitting hard and forcing multiple turnovers in the first half.

The score was knotted up 14-14 at halftime.

I was reading earlier about a famous guitar player who was criticizing the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The man, Joe Walsh, played guitar for the Eagles for a number of years, and has since rejoined them in various reunion tours. He also had a successful career outside of the Eagles.

With just three games left in the regular season, the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans (2-4) seem to have found their groove.

Head Coach Jeff Tatum’s bunch, which includes a mostly freshman roster, took down the Northeast Mississippi Community College football team last Friday night by a 41-11 score.
