Hoping to pick up additional victories, the Indianola Academy basketball teams played on their home court Thursday night against an all-new opponent.
However, the results of their game against Greater Praise Christian School of Memphis were unavailable at press time.
Be that as it may, the IA Lady Colonels took a 1-5 record into the game while the Colonels were hoping to improve their 1-3 record that night.
As for upcoming action, next Tuesday will find the IA squads hosting Winona Christian School.
This will then be followed by a road trip to Batesville next Thursday to battle the Green Wave of North Delta School.
Both nights’ play will see the girls tipping off at 6 p.m. with the boys’ game following immediately thereafter.
In other action played this past week, Tuesday night saw the IA squads hosting Central Holmes Christian School.
Unfortunately, by night’s end the school from Lexington went home with a pair of victories.
After the Lady Colonels absorbed a 61-24 loss following their contest, the Colonels fell by a 63-36 margin to the visiting Trojans.
