MedStat will continue to provide ambulance service to the county.
The Sunflower County Board of Supervisors voted in favor of contracting again with the company during a meeting this past Monday.
MedStat increased its yearly amount on the three-year contract to $255,796 per year, as opposed to around $170,000 per year during the prior contract.
District 1 Supervisor Glenn Donald said the company did notify the county that the lone bidder would be increasing its yearly bill. He made the motion to accept the bid.
It passed 5-0.
There is an option to extend the contract another three years at the end of the term.
