The Indianola Academy baseball team was facing elimination, at home, on Thursday.
The Colonels needed two wins to advance to the second round of the playoffs, and they got just that.
The IA bats exploded in the bottom of the sixth inning in game one. After being tied up 2-2, Sebastian Harris took a close pitch on a 3-2 count with the bases loaded to drive in the go-ahead run.
Wesley Lester would eventually cap off the inning with a grand slam home run for an 8-3 final in game one.
The Colonels would roll on in game two, winning 7-4.
IA will face Heritage on the road this coming Tuesday and will return home for a potential doubleheader on Thursday.
