Indianola has recorded its second homicide of 2023.
Tavoris Earvin, 40, was pronounced dead last Friday night during what police described as a domestic altercation with his brother.
Police received a call at 4:48 p.m. that night regarding a fight that was going on at the Garrard Road residence.
Tavoris Earvin was reportedly stabbed in the neck by his brother, Tremein Earvin.
Indianola Police Chief Ronald Sampson said Tremein Earvin was taken into custody at the scene.
Sampson said police had previously responded to numerous domestic disturbance calls at the home.
