A shooting on Sunday took the life of an Indianola man.
Germaniee Stephens, 33, was pronounced dead at South Sunflower County Hospital at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Sunflower County Coroner Heather Burton.
The shooting happened in the 100 block of Torino Drive, according to Police Investigator Irish Johnson.
Johnson confirmed to The Enterprise-Tocsin that there was another gunshot victim who survived, and that was a juvenile.
No motive had been established as of press time, but Johnson said investigators have multiple leads they are following.
Burton said Stephens’s body has been sent for an autopsy, per protocol.
