There’s no place like home.
And there’s no place like the Delta Arts Association’s Brindley Theater in the spring.
Indianola’s theatrical pride and joy will be putting on its first production - The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - following a quarter-of-a-million-dollar renovation project.
Performances will take place between March 1 and 10 of this year, and tickets will go on sale for Capital Campaign contributors on Feb. 13.
The price of the tickets is $20. Tickets for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz will be separate from regular season ticket sales.
On Feb. 20, ticket sales for the performance will begin for the general public and can be purchased at The Crown.
Casting for the production is currently underway after early-January tryouts.
Eddie Donahoe will be directing the play, which will be performed in celebration of the reopening of the theater.
The Brindley’s current renovation project is one of the most comprehensive in its storied history, with all of the seats being replaced along with work being done to the lobby of the building, the addition of handicap-accessible ramps and with other additions.
Contributions to the Capital Campaign are still being accepted.
