With Thanksgiving Day looming, the Gentry High basketball teams will be hosting their own tournament this weekend.
While both teams are taking a 2-2 record into their tournament play, the Lady Rams will open their action Friday at 6 p.m. against Aberdeen High School.
Roughly one hour later the Rams will tangle with the Bulldogs hailing from that same school.
Returning to the court on Saturday, the Rams and Lady Rams will confront the Blue Devils of Hollandale Simmons High School. Game times are once again at 6 and 7 p.m.
Returning to regularly scheduled games next Tuesday, the Gentry squads will host Holmes County Central of Lexington. The girls’ tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. in this non-regional contest.
