A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Jackson on Monday afternoon for Sunflower County, including Indianola.

Minor flooding is in the forecast, although the streets in Indianola appeared to be draining well as of Monday afternoon.
The E-T drove some of the streets in Indianola on Monday afternoon that are often problem areas, including B.B. King Road. All seemed to be clear around 3 p.m., and Gentry High School, which is often the subject of talk during floods, seemed to be doing well with drainage.
