The lack of a quorum caused Monday night’s Indianola Board of Aldermen meeting to be postponed.
Mayor Steve Rosenthal said on Wednesday that the meeting has been rescheduled for tonight at 7 p.m.
Only Aldermen Dana Myrick and Ruben Wood were present. Rosenthal said.
Aldermen Gary Fratesi and Larry Brown told him earlier in the day that they would be unable to attend because they were trying to get farm work done ahead of Monday night’s forecasted rains.
Alderman Carver Randle Jr. had planned to attend, according to the mayor, but was called away at the last minute on family business.
A public budget hearing on the city’s proposed budget and proposed tax levies for fiscal year 2017-2018 is set for 5:30 p.m., and the meeting will follow that.
