Mrs. Susan Nannette Finley Davis, 66, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Brother Terry Finley officiating. Interment will follow in Delta Heights Cemetery.
Susan was born March 2, 1952, to Isaac Woodrow “I.W.” Finley and Francis Louise Hinton Finley in Cleveland. On June 7, 2003, she married Donald H. Davis in Cleveland. Susan thoroughly enjoyed her job and devoted herself fully as a director in the medical and billing department at Bolivar Medical Center along with other hospitals for over 40 years. She was an instrumental part in developing medical records and coding for the hospitals in which she worked.
Susan attended Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola where she was active in her church community and loved singing in the church choir. She lovingly cared for her husband for many years through his illness. Susan also enjoyed singing, shopping, cooking for others; and most importantly, spoiling her kids. Susan cherished any time spent with family and adored her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of ten years, Donald H. Davis; parents, I.W. Finley and Francis Louise Webb; and step-father, Cleveland “Nick” Webb.
Susan is survived by her daughters, Shelly Spruill Mitchell (Bobby), of Benoit and Erin Fondren Coleman (Chris) of Yazoo City; grandchildren, Brandon Mitchell of Benoit, Jon Mark Stovall of Benoit, Bailey Mitchell of Benoit, Bradley Coleman of Yazoo City, Carsyn Mitchell of Benoit, Finley Coleman of Yazoo City, and Rhett Coleman of Yazoo City; and numerous beloved extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Mitchell, Jon Mark Stovall, Bailey Mitchell, Bradley Coleman, Tommy Yarbrough, Neely Robinson, Mac Steed, David Finley, and Greg Morganti.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola.
