Riding the strength of the “bend but don’t break” defense all season, the Trojans (1-6 overall, 1-4 MACCC North) found out what happens when the defense can’t bend any further. A 58-7 homecoming loss to Holmes Community College (5-2 overall, 3-2 MACCC North) on Thursday was tough to handle.

NSA tries to follow 72-point performance against Humphreys

It was a great way to get back into the win column.
For last Friday night, the North Sunflower Academy Rebels earned a 72-50 home-field victory over the Humphreys Academy Rebels in a District 2-2A match-up.
Although a playoff berth has now been secured, the NSA squad has one final regular season game remaining on its schedule.

Gentry looking to bounce back from loss to Holmes

It was a valiant football effort by the Gentry High Rams on their home field last Thursday night.
However, when the final buzzer sounded, the Rams were forced to absorb a 19-8 loss to the still undefeated Holmes County High School Jaguars.
