Looking for the first win of their young basketball season, the young Indianola Academy Colonels will be playing back-to-back 7 p.m. home games the remainder of this week.
These pair of games begin tonight and will bring Lee Academy of Clarksdale to the IA gym for a non-district clash.
However, Friday night the 0-4 Colonels will play their first District 2-3A contest of the season when Oak Hill Academy of West Point visits town.
In this past week’s play, the Colonels’ most recent play occurred Tuesday night when they absorbed a 65-33 road loss to Kirk Academy in Grenada.
Joel Rayner led the Colonels’ scoring efforts with a 10 point night of play.
Other action which occurred last Thursday in Cleveland saw the Colonels drop a 56-44 decision to Bayou Academy.
This loss was absorbed despite three IA players reaching double digit scoring status.
While John Suddoth led the trio with 13 points, Cole Ferrell and Ashton Powell followed close behind with 11 and 10 points respectively.
