The 2019 basketball season is now over for the Indianola Academy Colonels.
With their 73-62 AAA State Tournament loss suffered last Wednesday to Hillcrest Christian School of Jackson, the IA squad completed their season as the District 1AAA champions and with a 14-12 record.
In this tournament hosted by Leake Academy in Madden, the Colonels efforts against Hillcrest Christian was led by Randy Kimble’s 23 points scored.
Also reaching double digit scoring in his final game was Josh Hill, who posted 15 points on the IA side of the scoreboard.
There were five seniors wearing the IA uniform for the final time in last week’s tournament play.
This group includes Will Davis, Josh Hill, Randy Kimble, Stefon Smith, and DeDe Willis.
