The 2019-20 basketball season continues to march quickly on through schedules.
In the midst of that occurrence, the Gentry High Lady Rams are hoping that this Friday’s trip to Rosa Fort High in Tunica will open their Region 3-4A play with a victory.
Taking a 4-4 record into Wednesday night’s trip to Cleveland Central High, additional upcoming action occurs next Tuesday.
On that night the Lady Rams will complete a five-game run of road trips with a visit to Holmes County High School in Lexington.
While both contests begin at 6 p.m., the results of Wednesday night’s visit to Cleveland Central High School were unavailable at presstime. This game was originally scheduled for Tuesday night, but was delayed due to inclement weather.
The Lady Rams also made a trip to Greenville High School last Saturday and absorbed a 53-48 loss to the Honey Bees.
Despite the Lady Rams owning a 32-24 lead at halftime, a 23-7 fourth quarter run allowed the Honey Bees to escape with the victory.
Leading the scoring for the Lady Rams with a strong 16 point game was Shacori Dawson.
Meanwhile, Darlicia Coleman’s double double included 15 points and a dozen rebounds.
Also turning in a strong performance was Jada Delaney, who pulled down 10 rebounds in this game.
