Moorhead police have made an arrest in a June 1, 2025 homicide.
On June 4 at 9:00 a.m., Johnquavious Seals, 25, of Moorhead was arrested and charged with murder.
He was booked into the Sunflower County jail after being released from the hospital.
Seals was apparently severely wounded during a shootout at a local car wash that Sunday evening.
The Moorhead Police Department was called at around 5:45 p.m., according to Interim Chief Wayne Self.
Self said that Seals, with the aid of his attorney, turned himself in to authorities.
The shooting took place at the car wash located at the intersection of Highway 3 and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Phamous Harris, 22, was pronounced dead on arrival at South Sunflower County Hospital at 7:24 p.m., according to reports.
