Rice wants timer for supes

Sunflower County Board of Supervisors President Riley Rice said the county leaders are wasting time by excessively discussing certain items on the agenda and he wants to limit the individual remarks and discussions to no more than five minutes.

Drew hit-and-run claims the life of 24-year-old man

A hit and run accident that is still currently under investigation in the city of Drew has resulted in the death of 24-year-old Jermaine Covington.
According to information released by Chief Terry Tyler and the Drew Police Department, Covington was found deceased and face down in a ditch along U.S. Highway 49 North.
