On a 3-2 vote, with Aldermen Ruben Woods and Marvin Elder voting no, the Indianola Board of Aldermen decided this week to remove the provision from a city ordinance that allowed religious, benevolent, faith-based organizations and lodges with local officers to solicit on city streets without a permit.
