A couple of days ago I watched the magnificent DC parade celebrating the 250th anniversary of the US army. It depicted the early days of the Revolutionary War; continuing through the battles of the Civil War; the World Wars I and II and so on. The outfits of the soldiers in each segment were meticulously displayed.

Democrats floundering

My liberal friends are floundering. They have no message, and no messenger. So, their current tactic is to criticize Trump and his actions. They have found that calling Trump "Hitler" and his MAGA followers "Nazis" didn't sit well with the electorate, so they have dropped those accusations.

Preemptive pardons?

At the last possible moment Joe Biden gave a preemptive pardon to his entire family. Perhaps this delay was to prevent Trump from including that information on the pardon in his inaugural speech. But it was more probably to hide it in all the hoopla of that day.

Jimmy Carter recently passed away at 100 years old. His legacy is that he brought Israel and Egypt together for a lasting peace at the Camp David Peace Accords. That pair of agreements was signed in 1978 between Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat.
