Hundreds of people showed up two weeks ago to the third annual Indianola Mayor’s Charity Ball. Held at the National Guard Armory building, the event featured local musical talent, local cuisine and two organizations that have received the proceeds from the event’s ticket sales. Pictured above, surrounded by community members, Mayor Ken Featherstone and First Lady Cheryl Featherstone, are representatives from recipient organizations Delta Care Hope Foundation and the Sunflower County Transitional Shelter for the Homeless, operated by Sunflower County Ministerial Alliance Counseling Services.

This past Saturday night was full of excitement at the B.B. King Museum, as over 100 people gathered for the first Mayor’s Charity Ball, which raised $10,000 for the Junior Rams football team.
