Bus and car collide, hydrant taken out

A Tuesday morning collision between a school bus and a car on U.S. Highway 82 resulted in one injury to a motorist and no reported serious harm to the 19 students aboard the bus.

Indianola man arrested for Hannah Street arson

An Indianola man has been arrested for felony arson, following a structural fire two weekends ago.
Romeius Rennaill Townsend, 40, has been arrested and charged with first-degree arson in connection with a fire that occurred at a pool hall on Hannah Avenue on March 22.

DHA responds to U.S. Attorney’s PPP lawsuit

The U.S. Attorney’s office in Oxford has filed a federal lawsuit against Delta Health Alliance, its Executive Vice President of Operations, H. Martin Womack Jr., and John Does 1-5, accusing the organization of fraudulently obtaining funds through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
