Police in Indianola and Sunflower are actively investigating two separate shooting incidents from this week.
Indianola Police Investigator Irish Johnson told The Enterprise-Tocsin this week that a shooting occurred on Sunday evening at a convenience store involving two individuals.

Ruleville mayoral candidate passes

Jolene Davis-Cannon, an Independent candidate for mayor in the City of Ruleville, passed away this month.
Ruleville City Clerk Joyce Walker confirmed Davis-Cannon’s passing.
Davis-Cannon was the only opponent running against incumbent Independent Mayor Michael Clark.

Indianola may recover $39K paid to Spencer
