MDCC softball still building

Losses pile up but the MDCC Lady Trojans are still putting in the work to improve and are taking plenty of opponents to the wire. In Tuesday’s action on the road at Northwest, the Lady Trojans fell 8-7 and 4-2 but held leads in game one and were tied at two for most of game two.

Trojans playing hard, drop two at home

Spring hasn’t sprung for the MDCC Trojan baseball team. Warm weather, cold weather, stop, start – everything seems to be out of sync. Losing to Pearl River last Sunday at home, 17-3 and 5-2 and then hosting Northwest and dropping both games, 3-2 and 4-1, have the Trojans sitting at 6-16 overall and winless in the MACCC at 0-8.

Trojan basketball: Recruiting, rebuilding

A once-promising season for the Mississippi Delta Community College’s men’s basketball team was hit hard by injuries and academic casualties. Head Coach Derrick Fears has been taking a hard look for incoming talent and working to hold on to the rising talent he already has.
