Untimely mistakes and missed opportunities would prove critical for the Indianola Academy Colonels football team during their season-opener last Friday night.
As a result, when all was said and done on Bayou Academy’s football field in Cleveland, the Colonels would suffer a 7-6 loss in this physical contest against the 5A member Colts.

North Sunflower kicks off ‘20

It is game time for North Sunflower Academy Rebels football team.
With a Friday trip to Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead, this 2020 version of the Rebels will open their season against the Delta Streets Academy Lions from Greenwood.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Lady Colonels win tourney

A pair of district victories, a tournament championship, and a no-hitter.
Add in a current six-game win streak and last week’s action was memorable for the Indianola Academy softball team. Their recent success has also dramatically improved their record to a 7-9, 3-1 mark.
