Highway 3 shooting death being handed to grand jury

Church Ave. shooting leaves one man dead

A shooting in Indianola last Wednesday resulted in the death of 22-year-old Terrence Gerald, and now Indianola police have arrested Lakoya Antonio Cason Jr., 18, in connection with his death.
Cason reportedly turn himself in the next day and has had his initial appearance and a bond of $500,000 has been set.

Brock says city is “wasting money”

Alderman Sam Brock is not happy with some of the city’s spending practices.
On Monday night, during the segment set aside to review and approve the claims docket, Brock questioned the charges for uniforms and t-shirts for city employees.
He said the city is just “wasting money.”
